From There, Start Talking!

Once a movie has been made, the actors start talking about how awesome their film is. They will go on daytime talk shows, news casts, and late night shows. They will tell the viewers what their movie is about, why they need to see it, and all the best parts; however...they will ALWAYS leave the viewer guessing what is going to happen, even if the movie goer knows what the film is about (probably because they read this book, too!). You will need to create an interview between one of the movies main stars or the director and an interviewer.
Although this is a solo project, you will need someone to record your interview, or act in it. In the classroom you will find a green bin . The bin has a vast supply of props and costumes that you may access at any time. Please email me ([email protected]) with the items you took and the date you took them so that we have a record. As to be fair to all groups, please only keep the props for a day or two so that everyone has a turn to use them! When you are ready to record, come see me to get the Flip Camera. This is what you will use to record your interview. From there, you can download it onto the computer and edit it as you please by using Microsoft Movie Maker. Below you will find videos that show you a great solo interview, multi person interview, how to use movie maker, and how to use our flip camera. Get creative, have fun, and ask as many questions as needed! Lights, camera, action!
You will need to make sure that you include the following points into your interview:
* The release date of your film * What it was like to make the film
* How the film relates to the book * Where filming took place
* A cliffhanger (remember, you want to get them to go!)
* How the actors got along * An introduction of the film clip
Please use Microsoft Movie Maker to edit your interview! And...get creative!!
